Tip #1 - Bank statements....never, and I repeat, never, remove the returned cheques from the statements and file them somewhere numerically. You probably already know that I've experienced this situation in the past. The next step is to locate each cheque, re-order and match back into the bank statement. What a killer time waster. Especially, if you're freelancing and being paid by the hour.
